Banking on Bonaire
Bonaire is an international banking center for a number of off-shore companies, and additionally, all local banks also offer banking services, such as checking & savings accounts, commercial banking, credit cards, and loans to local individuals and businesses.
Bank accounts can be in either Netherlands Antillean Florins (NAFl. - also known as "guilders") or in U.S. dollars, and certain requirements and restrictions apply to opening such accounts.
Most banks also offer ATM machines for easy access to both local and foreign bank accounts, and dispense funds in both US dollars and NAFl.
